This beautiful garden was built by Maharaja Sawai Ram Singh in 1868 and is located just few meters from Ajmeri Gate. The massive garden sprawls across an area of four acres and was designed by a surgeon Major De-Faback. It costed around rupees four lakhs and was done as s famine relief project.
This well laid-out garden also has a zoo, a bird park, a play ground, exhibition ground and gymnasium within this precincts. Spectacular Albert Hall, the most famous museum and Ravindra Rangmanch are also located within the garden.
The century old Zoological Garden is also within the Ram Niwas Bag complex and is one of the oldest in the country. It is home to several species of exotic birds and animals and also has a famous crocodile farm.
